Choreographers include two time Dora award winning Heidi Strauss; Gadfly's co-artistic director Apolonia Velasquez; Solid State Breakdance; Troy Feldman AKA BBoy Whiplash; Dora nominated Valerie Calam as well as collective members Meghan Cafferky and Geordan Coupland.

This is not your regular black box show. Sit back and enjoy the performance in a groovy, copasetic lounge atmosphere designed by Trixie and Beever.

DJ/Producer Patootihead will be on the decks spinning the show live from the audience.

Alias Dance Project is a magnificent dance collective putting on its first full-length production entitled "The First LP". Alias Dance Project is not-for-profit and therefore needs your financial and emotional assistance to help achieve their sure to be magnificent show.

We know you'd like to simply come out and pay a little money and chat, but we've decided to give you a show for your money. A magnificent one.

Alias Dance Project will be hosting a guest teacher workshop at Turning Pointe Academy of Dance on Sunday November 28th from 1:00-5:30pm.  This workshop is open to students ages 9+.  Space is limited so please register early to be guaranteed a spot!

Toronto Fringe Festival

The Domino Effect

Featuring a mixed program of contemporary and urban dance, Alias Dance Project, JoDee Allen of Montreal’s Solid State Breakdance, and Dora Award Nominee Valerie Calam come together to start a chain reaction of smooth moves and calculated timing. For the first time on the same bill, they will present high-energy, stylized dances that combine the artists’ expertise in contemporary, hip-hop, breakdance, popping and house dance techniques. The July 1st and July 3rd performances will also feature promising young artists of Turning Pointe Dance Academy, highlighting the domino effect between the artists involved and the next generation of aspiring dancers.

Alias Dance Project is excited to offer an exciting workshop experience with the winner of SYTYCD Canada, Tara Jean Popowich. Be one of the few dancers in Toronto to learn from Canada's favorite dancer in this intimate learning environment. The class size will be limited to ensure that workshop participants receive the class of a life time. There is only one way to kick start start the Fringe madness and that's with a riot!! So, Alias Dance Project is pumped to get things started with the Riot of Summer 2, a launch party for our latest Fringe adventure 'The Domino Effect'. Be the first to get a sneak peak of our action packed new show as we perform excerpts . The notoriously innovative (and seriously sexy) Undadogg will set the tone as they rock us into the wee hours of the night. So get up to get down and get crunk as we riot like we never have before!
